The "Passover" sacrifice has already been offered, and now Christ is Priest in the Holy Place.
The Son of Man, in Revelation 1:13, is dressed in garments worn by the High Priest in the earthly sanctuary service. (See Exodus 28:4, 29:5) In the earthly sanctuary, one of the Priest's duties was to keep the lamps burning. Here in Revelation we see Christ, our heavenly High Priest attending to the lamps. And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man,.. Revelation 1:13"
