Salvation 101

 For all have sinned,

 and come short of the glory of God;

Romans 3:23

 

The Need for Salvation

Mankind stands guilty and condemned before God
(a) sin nature
(b) sinful act
(c) sin of unbelief
 Man's sin deserves to be punished

 

The Means of Salvation

There is an Advocate with the Father
---- Intercessor and the Propitiation
(a) intercessor- high priest
(b) propitiation- sacrificial lamb

HE is both the HIGH PRIEST & the SACRIFICE

 

Past- (saved from the penalty of sin)
+ Justification
Present- (saved from the power of sin)
+ Sanctification
Future- (saved from the presence of sin)
+ Glorification
