Mountain of God Series: Who wants to be King of the Mountain?

"The one who had proclaimed "I will ascend unto heaven, I will exalt my throne above the throne
stars of God; I will sit on the mountain of the congregation on the farthest sides of the north, I will be like the Most High" (Isaiah 14:12-14)
Instead of seeking to make God supreme in the affections and allegiance of His creatures, it was Lucifer's plan and all absorbing agenda to win their service and homage to himself. He aspired to be equal with God. He is the king of the mysteries of Babylon. Coveting the honor of God's Son Jesus Christ, this prince of angels aspired to power which it was the prerogative of Christ alone to wield. He would be God and exalt created beings to the position of his sons, acknowledged as semi divine rulers of his mountain. Thus we see the ancients setting about to build their own “mountains”. After Cain killed his brother he went into another part of the country and built a city, naming it after his son." Ulrike Unruh
