That New Tomb

Prophecy
And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death;

because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.
Isaiah 53:9

Fulfillment

When the even was come, there came a rich man of Arimathaea, named Joseph,
who also himself was Jesus' disciple:
He went to Pilate, and begged the Body of Jesus.
Then Pilate commanded the body to be delivered.
And when Joseph had taken the body,
he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth, And laid it in his own new tomb,
which he had hewn out in the rock:
and he rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulchre, and departed.
Matthew 27:57-60

The women were last at the cross, and last at the tomb of Christ. While the evening shades were gathering, Mary Magdalene and the other Marys lingered about the resting place of their Lord, shedding tears of sorrow over the fate of Him whom they loved. And they returned, . . . and rested the Sabbath day according to the commandment. Luke 23:56
