"President-elect Donald Trump has nominated retired neurosurgeon Dr. Ben Carson for the position
of secretary of the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in Trump's incoming administration.
Although, as ChristianHeadlines.com previously reported, Carson initially said he could “best serve the President outside the administration," he has apparently had a change of mind, according to The Blaze.
Trump’s team confirmed Carson’s nomination early Monday morning.
“Ben Carson has a brilliant mind and is passionate about strengthening communities and families within those communities,” Trump said in a statement. “We have talked at length about my urban renewal agenda and our message of economic revival, very much including inner cities.” BCH
