Breaking down Hosea 6:6

God prefers a renewed heart (a) more than deeds (b). WHY? Because with (a) then (b) will of course follow.

 

(a) For I desired mercy,

(b) and not sacrifice;

(a) and the knowledge of God

(b) more than burnt offerings.
