Amos Analysis 6:7

6:7

Therefore now shall they go captive with the first that go captive, and the banquet of them that stretched themselves shall be removed. KJV

Those who placed their happiness in the pleasures of sense, and set their hearts upon them, shall be deprived of those pleasures; their banquet shall be removed, and they shall know what it is to fare hard. Those who give themselves to mirth, when God calls them to mourning, will find it a sin that shall not go unpunished,
