"The disciples were influenced by limited sightings." - This idea is that one or two disciples had a hallucination and convinced the others of what they saw.
RESPONSE:
1) This fails to take into account the numerous group sightings recorded in the New Testament.
2) This theory fails to address the empty tomb.
Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.
