Creation Moment 5/24/2015 - Information Theory (simplified)

Naturalists believe in
*matter
*energy
*laws of nature
*chance
-But- .... they deny anything "supernatural"...
So then where does
*will
*choice
*information
come from?

Information Theory states that messages are strings of symbols sent to a reciver.
Examples include-
*A-Z of the English alphabet (26 symbols)
*The DNA code of A,C,G,&T (4 symbols)
*The Binary code of 0 & 1 (2 symbols)

Dr. Kuppers defined life as MATTER + INFORMATION ... but where does this information come from?

TERMS:
UI (Universal Information) - according to Gitt, is "a symbolically encoded, abstractly represented message conveying
*the expected action(s) &
*the intended purposes(s)."
CIS (Coded Information System) - consisting of linked tools/machines that refine the outcomes so as to attain a specific goal of which the coded messages play a part between the 2 linked members.
NC (Necessary Condition) - 3 are required.....
NC 1- Set a abstract symbols
NC 2- Sequence of abstract symbols must be irregular
NC 3- Symbols must be recognizable & in the form of columns, rows, circles, spirals, etc.

Gitt believes that INFORMATION is always present when the following 5 hierarchal levels are observed in a system -
1) Syntax (symbols/grammar)
2) Statistics (signal/number of symbols)
3) Semantics (meaning)
4) Pragmatics (action)
5) Apobetics (purpose/result)
Gitt's 4 Scientific Laws of Information
SLI 1- A material entity cannot generate a non-material entity
SLI 2- UI is a non-material fundamental entity
SLI 3- UI cannot be created by statistical processes
SLI 4- UI can only be produced by an intelligent sender

Claude Shannon was the pioneer of Information Theory. He also was a proponent of the idea that entropy (loss of information) has to be taken into account for calculations. Maximum Entropy would result in being unable to know how the symbols/messages would show up to the receiver each time. And that Zero Entropy would indicate showing up to the receiver identical each time.
He believed you could do this by observing the frequency with which the symbol is generated in messages.

I will praise thee;
for I am fearfully and wonderfully made:
