SDA Issues- Chariots of the Sun?

There are Church leaders telling us they cannot do anything about those bringing APOSTASY into the Church....for some of these bringing the heresy in are leaders themselves & the congregations are semi-independent.....But what did Josiah do?

And he put down the idolatrous priests,
whom the kings of Judah had ordained to burn incense
in the high places in the cities of Judah,
and in the places round about Jerusalem;
2 Kings 23:5

Josiah the Reformer
And it came to pass,
when the king had heard the
words of the book of the law,
 that he rent his clothes.
2 Kings 22:11

When it comes to debate over gay marriage, homosexuality, women ordination, evolution, celebration services, or trashing the 5 S's (Sabbath, Sanctuary, State of the Dead, SOP, Second Advent which includes identification of what the mark of the beast involves) etc., it is time for NO MORE symposiums, conferences or meetings---

And he brought all the priests out of the cities of Judah, and defiled the high places where the priests had burned incense, from Geba to Beersheba, and brake down the high places of the gates that were in the entering in of the gate....And he brake down the houses of the sodomites, that were by the house of the LORD,...
And he took away the horses that the kings of Judah had given to the sun, at the entering in of the house of the LORD, ...and burned the chariots of the sun with fire.
Moreover the altar that was at Bethel, and the high place which Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin, had made, both that altar and the high place he brake down, and burned the high place, and stamped it small to powder, and burned the grove.
2 Kings 23:8,7,11,15
"It would be poor policy to support from the treasury of God those who really mar and injure His work, and who are constantly lowering the standard of Christianity." Testimonies for the Church vol.3, p.553 E.G.W.

P.S.-  "The Assyrians called the sun god, “chariot rider,” so this could represent statuary introduced when Judah began to pay tribute to the Assyrian kings. Deuteronomy 17:3 records God's injunction to Israel not to worship the sun, but Ezekiel attested to persons in the Temple worshiping the sun ( Ezekiel 8:16 )." HolmanBibleDictionary
"Horses - Such the eastern nations used to consecrate to the sun, to signify the swiftness of his motion. The sun - Either, to be sacrificed to the sun: or, to draw those chariots in which the kings, or some other in their stead, went forth every morning to worship the rising sun: for both these were the customs of the Armenians and Persians, as Xenophon testifies." Wesley's Notes on 2 Kings 23:11
