3 Reasons NOT to Join them

3 Reasons NOT to become a Catholic.....
And he shall speak great words against the most High,
and shall wear out the saints of the most High,
and think to change times and laws:
Daniel 7:25

1) Claims the power to forgive sins (via mass, indulgences, penance, last rites, confessions, etc) which is one of the 2 activities which is called BLASPHEMY in the NT.

Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies?
who can forgive sins but God only?
Mark 2:7
2) Claims the head of their entity is the Holy Father (in Rome) which is the other activity referred to as BLASPHEMY in the NT, that is, claiming to be God on earth.
...but for blasphemy;
and because that thou, being a man,
makest thyself God.
John 10:33
3) Took scissors to the LAW of GOD----by removing the 2nd commandment (about idol worship) changing the 4th (besides moving it up to the 3rd) from the 7th day Sabbath to the 1st day of the week, the day of the sun. And cutting the 10th (about coveting) into 2 so as to have 10.
For verily I say unto you,
Till heaven and earth pass,
one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Matthew 5:18

3 Reasons NOT to become a Mormon.....
But though we, or an angel from heaven,
preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you,
let him be accursed.
Galatians 1:8

1) Elevates Lucifer to the brother of Christ (didn't Lucifer want to be lifted up & like God in the first place? He found a church to do that for him....).
For thou hast said in thine heart,
I will ascend into heaven,
I will exalt my throne above the stars of God:
Isaiah 14:13
2) Demotes the Godhead (Trinity)--  they lower God to that of a former "man" & Christ as His literal son. The Holy Spirit, they claim, is also a spirit son of God. So in other words, Christ & the Holy Spirit are both God's literal children (as is Lucifer).
For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen,
being understood by the things that are made,
even his eternal power and Godhead;
Romans 1:20
3) They claim their other books (Book of Mormon, Doctrine of Covenants & Pearl of Great Price) are correct when they contradict the Bible--for they are to "fix" the Bible.
I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called
you into the grace of Christ
unto another gospel:
Galatians 1:6

3 Reasons NOT to become a Jehovah's Witness.....
But there were false prophets also among the people,
even as there shall be false teachers among you,
who privily shall bring in damnable heresies,
even denying the Lord that bought them,
2 Peter 2:1

1) Using the Egyptian pyramid measurements in their early calculations of Biblical prophecy. (This numerology of Egyptian measurements is used by many in the occult, masonry & new age).

For I testify unto every man that heareth

the words of the prophecy of this book,
If any man shall add unto these things,

God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
Revelation 22:18
2) They wrote their own Bible to "fix" the Bible (but really so it agrees with their doctrines) in 1953 (New Word Translation) which is the only Bible they are allowed to use.

I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called
you into the grace of Christ
unto another gospel:
Galatians 1:6
3) Arianisitic views as it relates to the Trinity/Godhead. They hold that God the Father (who they only call "Jehovah"--hence Jehovah's Witnesses) is the eternal God, while Christ was His first creation (and only became divine at His baptism) and the Holy Spirit is a force from God sent out.

In the beginning was the Word,
and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God.
John 1:1

3 Reasons NOT to become one of the Charismatics.....

For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound,
who shall prepare himself to the battle?
So likewise ye,
except ye utter by the tongue words easy to be understood,
how shall it be known what is spoken?
for ye shall speak into the air.
1 Corinthians 14:8,9

1) Their gibberish "speaking in tongues" is NOT biblical speaking in tongues--for that was speaking foreign languages (tongues) for missionary work.

And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost,
and began to speak with other tongues,
as the Spirit gave them utterance.
And they were all amazed and marvelled,
saying one to another, Behold,
are not all these which speak Galilaeans?
And how hear we every man in our own tongue,
wherein we were born?
Acts 2:4,7,8

Wherefore tongues are for a sign,
not to them that believe,
but to them that believe not:
1 Corinthians 14:22
2) Their obsession with signs & wonders of faith healing "tongues"& miracles.
This is an evil generation:
they seek a sign;
Luke 11:29
3) The disgusting "Prosperity Gospel" for which most charismatics are known for, at least on TV.
No one can serve two masters.
For you will hate one and love the other;
you will be devoted to one and despise the other.
You cannot serve both God and money.
Matthew 6:24 NLT

3 Reasons NOT to become one of the many others.....

Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, ...
And I heard another voice from heaven, saying,
Come out of her, my people,
that ye be not partakers of her sins,
and that ye receive not of her plagues.
Revelation 18:2,4

1) Sunday sacredness (1st day of the week) in place of the Sabbath (7th day of the week), for they still have a foot in Papal Rome. God NEVER changed His Sabbath day to Sunday, the day of the Sun.

Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God:
in it thou shalt not do any work,
Exodus 20:8-10

2) State of the Dead - many believe the false doctrine of the immortality of the soul (the belief that upon death you go to heaven or "hell"), which is the 1st lie told in the Garden of Eden.
Shall mortal man be more just than God?
Job 4:17
 ...and Lord of lords;
Who only hath immortality,
dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto;
1 Timothy 6:15,16
3) False forms of Salvation/Redemption:
     a) Sacramental - the idea that the sacraments of the church can intervene & save you (such as last rites, mass, confessionals, etc.)
         {Besides Catholicism...to a much lesser degree Anglican/Episcopal & Orthodox}
     b) Universalism - the belief that everyone is saved.
         {Universalist/Unitarian}
     c) Pluralism - the idea that one can be saved outside of Christianity by following the rules as a good Hindu, Buddhist, Muslim, etc. These Christians just believe that Christianity is the closest to the truth, but not the only way.
         {Many modern theologically LIBERALs, Unitarian, Quaker Universalist Fellowship,etc.}
     d) Predestination - the idea that you have no choice in being saved--that you were either predestined to be saved or predestined to be lost.
         {Calvinistic such as Presbyterian, Reformed, etc.-but mostly smaller offshoots today}
     e) Once Saved Always Saved - the doctrine that once you are saved, you can't be lost.
         {Most Baptists, many non-denominational, some break away Calvinistic offshoots & charismatics}
     f) Preservation of the Saints - watered down "once saved always saved", except you can be lost if you totally leave Christianity. (there are actually several different uses of this term, including as part of predestination etc.. I'm just using one type of meaning for the phrase here).
         {Many Baptists & others who follow Billy Graham}
     g) Spirit Baptism - the idea that once you "speak in tongues" you are saved.
         {Only a sub-group of charismatics known as "Oneness Pentecostals"}
NOTICE what the above types of salvation all have as a common denominator?
At the end of the day--you can really live as you please and get away with it....

The Plan of salvation is simple....it is laid out in the Sanctuary:

Outer Court/Grace/Justifiction
[burnt altar of sacrifice=cross......brazen laver of water=baptism]

For this is my blood of the new testament,
which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
Matthew 26:28
Being justified freely by his grace
through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
Romans 3:24
Neither do I condemn thee:
John 8:11
Inner Court/Sanctification
[bread=His Word/Incense=Prayers/candlestick=witness]

...that they also might be sanctified through the truth.
.....being sanctified by the Holy Ghost.
John 17:19/Romans 15:17

For this is the love of God,
that we keep his commandments:
and his commandments are not grievous
.
1 John 5:3
.....go, and sin no more.
John 8:11
Most Holy Place/Judgment
[ark of covenant with Law/covered by Judgment seat aka "Mercy Seat"]

A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him:
thousand thousands ministered unto him
and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him
the judgment was set, and the books were opened.
Daniel 7:10
And as it is appointed unto men once to die,
but after this the judgment:
Hebrews 9:27

For God shall bring every work into judgment,
with every secret thing,
whether it be good,
or whether it be evil.
Ecclesiastes 12:14
