Pardon of Sin vs. Remission of Sin

Before the cross....
"Pardon of sin was secured only through the sinner's offering;"
After the cross, by Christ's offering....

     "..remission only through atonement."
Our day of atonement--our judgment day...

Summary:
"Pardon was conditional; remission was absolute."
The Sanctuary & the 2300 days of Daniel VIII. 14, p.212 Uriah Smith

Then....
For on that day shall the priest make an atonement for you,
to cleanse you, that ye may be clean from all your sins before the LORD.
And this shall be an everlasting statute unto you,
to make an atonement for the children of Israel for all their sins once a year.
Leviticus 16:30,34

But into the second went the high priest alone once every year,
not without blood, which he offered for himself,
and for the errors of the people:....
For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands,
which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself,
now to appear in the presence of God for us:
Hebrews 9:7,24

Now....
And he said unto me,
Unto two thousand and three hundred days;
then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.
Daniel 8:14
