1) US warns of 'widespread conflict' in Libya
"The United States warned Saturday that the conflict in Libya could become "widespread," urging that a new parliament be quickly seated after contested elections.
Libya has been awash with weapons since the end of the uprising against Kadhafi and has been gripped by increasing lawlessness.
The unrest has had far-reaching security implications for Libya's neighbors.
A Tunisian diplomat and fellow embassy staffer were freed in late June months after being seized by gunmen in Tripoli." yahoo


2) Israeli commandos clash with Hamas militants on Day 6 of Gaza offensive
"Israeli naval commandos clashed with Hamas militants in a raid on the coast of the Gaza Strip on Sunday, in what appeared to be the first ground assault of a six-day Israeli offensive on the territory aimed at stopping Palestinian rocket fire.
"It's our assessment a huge majority of rockets are being launched (at Israel) from northern areas" in Gaza, he said.
Islamist Hamas, which dominates Gaza, has fired hundreds of rockets into Israel, striking the deepest inside the country ever." yahoo


3) Gunmen kill at least 33 in raid on Baghdad complex
"Iraqi police say gunmen have killed at least 33 people, including 29 women, in a raid on two buildings in a housing complex in Baghdad.
Police officials say the gunmen showed up in four-wheel drive vehicles before storming the buildings in the Zayounah neighborhood in eastern Baghdad." yahoo

5) Pro-Palestinian protesters try to enter Paris synagogues, scuffle with police
"France Sunday as pro-Palestinian protesters tried to force their way into a Paris synagogue with bats and chairs, then fought with security officers who blocked their way, according to police and a witness." FOX
