The "Quail Problem"?

Some "liberal" scholars who use higher criticism, and secular "scholars", attack the "Quail story" of the Old Testament. They claim that there is no way the story could be accurate. By eating the estimated amount of quail around them would require 578 bushels per meal per person!
But is this so?

And there went forth a wind from the LORD, and brought quails from the sea, and let them fall by the camp, as it were a day's journey on this side, and as it were a day's journey on the other side, round about the camp, and as it were two cubits high upon the face of the earth.
Numbers 11:31

Actually, when one pays close attention to the text, you will see that the Bible doesn't say they were "piled up" around the camp. Rather, they were brought down two cubits (3 feet) high aroun the camp--so as to be caught.
So once again, the Bible stands correct. The problem with the quail story isn't the Word of God, the problem is in the blind minds of the critics.
