What is a "Song of Degrees" in Psalms?

Apparently a Song of Degrees in Pslams means a Psalm that was to be used by the Hebrews as they ascended the road to attend the 3 pilgrrim festivals each year.

Three times in a year shall all thy males appear before the LORD thy God in the place which He shall choose;
on the feast of unleavened bread,
and on the feast of weeks, (known as Pentecost)
and on the feast of tabernacles;
Deuteronomy 16:16

[[A Song of degrees.]]
They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion,
which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.
As the mountains are round about Jerusalem,
so the LORD is round about his people from henceforth even for ever.
For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous;
lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity.
Pslam 125:1-3
