The Goats?

And before him shall be gathered all nations:
and he shall separate them one from another,
as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
Matthew 25:32,33

Just wandering about the use of goats in the sanctuary on the day of atonement. Is it because the goat represents the final spereation from God---the blood of the slain goat taken in by the High Priest into the Most Holy Place for the final seperation of sin from mankind for the redeemed....and the scapegoat who recieves the sins built up in the sanctuary palced upon his head and taken away to never be seen again? Just a thought...not sure though if the above verse is a clue to that or not....In other words, the goats used (instead of lambs) at the ending of the day of atonement ceremonies could represent seperation from God-of sins once & for all......
