From the Mist of Ages

"The perfect example of Christ's filial love shines forth with undimmed luster from the mist of ages.  And now, even in His last agony, He remembers to provide for His sorrowing, widowed mother. The same spirit will be seen in every disciple of our Lord. Those who follow Christ will feel that it is a part of their religion to respect and provide for their parents."
Desire of Ages p.752 E.G.W.

When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son! Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home.

Easter Bunny: Pagan Roots

Pagan "Easter" Bunny
"Feeling guilty about arriving late one spring, the Goddess Ostara saved the life of a poor bird whose wings had been frozen by the snow. She made him her pet or, as some versions have it, her lover. Filled with compassion for him since he could no longer fly (in some versions, it was because she wished to amuse a group of young children), Ostara turned him into a snow hare and gave him the gift of being able to run with incredible speed so he could protect himself from hunters.
In remembrance of his earlier form as a bird, she also gave him the ability to lay eggs (in all the colors of the rainbow, no less), but only on one day out of each year.

Eventually the hare managed to anger the goddess Ostara, and she cast him into the skies where he would remain as the constellation Lepus (The Hare) forever positioned under the feet of the constellation Orion (the Hunter). He was allowed to return to earth once each year, but only to give away his eggs to the children attending the Ostara festivals that were held each spring. The tradition of the
Easter Bunny had begun." Easter:History & Traditions

Medieval Killing of Jews
"To ensure that Easter would not be celebrated at the same time of the Jewish Passover, the council of Nicea (A. D. 325) decreed that if the Jewish Passover fell on a Sunday, then Easter was to be celebrated the following Sunday in order to have “nothing in common with the detestable Jewish crowd.” Endtimes 4/12/2001

"A typically hostile broadside is in John 5:18, which begins in the New Revised Standard Version (1990)--and is virtually identical to the King James Version (1611): "For this reason, Jews were trying all the more to kill (Jesus). . .""In the 4th Century, Constantine, the emperor of the Roman Empire, becomes a Christian, and the Christians gain power. The intra-Jewish fight between two religions becomes something dramatically different when Christianity is in charge. That is when these texts turn lethal."
After Constantine's conversion, for example, the death penalty was imposed on Jews who married Christians." ChicagoTribune

Pagan side of "Easter" History

Pagan goddess Eastre
"Easter is named for a Saxon goddess who was known by the names of Oestre or Eastre, and in Germany by the name of Ostara. She is a goddess of the dawn and the spring, and her name derives from words for dawn, the shining light arising from the east. Our words for the "female hormone" estrogen derives from her name.

Ostara was, of course, a fertility goddess. Bringing in the end of winter, with the days brighter and growing longer after the vernal equinox, Ostara had a passion for new life. Her presence was felt in the flowering of plants and the birth of babies, both animal and human. The rabbit (well known for its propensity for rapid reproduction)
was her sacred animal.

Easter eggs and the Easter Bunny both featured in the spring festivals of Ostara, which were initially held during the feasts of the goddess Ishtar | Inanna. Eggs are an obvious symbol of fertility, and the newborn chicks an adorable representation of new growth. Brightly colored eggs, chicks, and bunnies were all used at festival time to express appreciation for Ostara's gift of abundance." Easter:History & Traditions

"Eastre’s male consort was the Sun god, and rites of spring were celebrated in her honor on the first day of spring. Pagan celebration were on the first full moon following vernal equinox. The full moon represents a “pregnant” phase of Eastre, passing into fertility to give birth to the Sun’s offspring.
“Eastre” is derived from the direction East, and the Spring Goddess is associated with dawn. Eastre is related to the Indo-European Hausos, Goddess of dawn, and the Roman and Greek Godesses, Aurora and Eos." corawan

Even Older Roots of Pagan "Eatser"

"Ishtar, goddess of romance, procreation, and war in ancient Babylon, was also worshipped as the Sumerian goddess Inanna. One of the great goddesses, or "mother goddesses", the stories of her descent to the Underworld....

Ishtar
The most famous of the myths of Ishtar tell of her descent into the realm of the dead to rescue her young lover, Tammuz, a Vegetation god forced to live half the year in the Underworld. Ishtar approached the gates of the Underworld, which was ruled by her twin sister Eresh-kigel, the goddess of death and infertility. She was refused admission.

Similar to the Greek myths of Demeter and Persephone that came later, during Ishtar's absence the earth grew barren since all acts of procreation ceased while she was away. Ishtar screamed and ranted that she would break down the gates and release all of the dead to overwhelm the world and compete with the living for the remaining food unless she was allowed to enter and plead her case with her twin.

Needless to say, she won admission. But the guard, following standard protocol, refused to let her pass through the first gate unless she removed her crown. At the next gate, she had to remove her earrings, then her necklace at the next, removing her garments and proud finery until she stood humbled and naked after passing through the seventh (and last) gate.

In one version, she was held captive and died but was brought back to life when her servant sprinkled her with the "water of life". In the more widely known version of the myth, Ishtar's request was granted and she regained all of her attire and possessions as she slowly re-emerged through the gates of darkness.

Upon her return, Tammuz and the earth returned to life. Annual celebrations of this "Day of Joy", were held each year around the time of the vernal equinox. These celebrations became the forerunners of the Ostara festivals that welcomed Oestre and the arrival of spring."
Easter:History & Traditions
"Out of this practice came many other variations of these pagan festivals until the Roman Catholic Church adopted the Asherah worship and named it EASTER around 155 A.D. According to the CATHOLIC ENCYCLOPEDIA, Easter was named after a pagan goddess of the Anglo-Saxons named Eostre, the goddess of the dawn. A great controversy arose between the Catholic Church and the Greek Orthodox Church in 325 A.D. on whether to celebrate Easter on Sundays or on whatever day the Jewish Passover fell upon. Unfortunately, the Greeks lost a lot of followers and the Catholics contended that keeping Easter on Sundays would stimulate the practices of both the Christian world and the pagan worshipers. Note that the word CATHOLIC means "universal" or "one world" in thought, concept and practice. Hence, since the original practice of Asherah worship we now have in our time the celebration of Easter, a counterfeit holiday to the true Christian festival of the Passover which was instituted in the Bible and completed in the New Testament when Christ died on the cross as our Passover Lamb." ldolphin.org

School Bans the Word ‘Easter
From Easter Festivities to Not ‘Infringe on the Rights of Others’

"Heritage Elementary School in Madison, Alabama is taking the word “Easter” out of Easter, according to WHNT19 News.
What does that mean? Well, they’ll still tolerate someone dressed as a giant bunny, but it will no longer be called the “Easter bunny.” Similarly, “Easter eggs” are just “eggs,” and it might be better just to use “different shapes.”
School principal Lydia Davenport said with a smile: “Kids love the bunny, and we just make sure we don’t say ‘the Easter bunny’ so that we don’t infringe on the rights of others, because people relate the Easter bunny to religion.

Creation Moment 3/31/2013 - Really Richard?

"Notice what Richard Dawkins, professor of zoology at Oxford University and professed atheist, has to say about the biblical account:
"Nearly all peoples have developed their own creation myth, and the Genesis story is just the one that happened to have been adopted by one particular tribe of Middle Eastern herders. It has no more special status than the belief of a particular West African tribe that the world was created from the excrement of ants" Richard Dawkins  The Blind Watchmaker:  p. 316. Really Richard?

But is Professor Dawkins' assumption true?
5,000 years ago, the Sumerians of Mesopotamia left accounts of their creation myths inscribed on cuneiform tablets. The Sumerians conceived of the earth as flat and the sky as a canopy of clouds and stars. They believed earth and sky were created by two gods: An, the male sky god, and Ki, the female earth god.
These two gave birth to a multitude of other gods, each with a particular power and responsibility over some aspect of the created realm (such as lightning, trees, mountains, illness, etc.). They lived in a kingly court in heaven, with An, the supreme god, surrounded by four subordinate creator gods. Below them were a council of seven gods and, finally, the 50 remaining minor gods.
All physical occurrences could be interpreted by the priests as the result of the particular mood or whim of one of these gods.
A few centuries later the Babylonians conquered the Sumerians and modified these myths to exalt their own civilization. Now it was the Babylonian god Marduk who was in charge; he formed the heavens and earth by slaying a sea monster goddess, Tiamat.
Does this kind of bizarre tale bear any resemblance to the biblical account of creation? Not at all.
The Old Testament is not a poor reflection of more ancient Babylonian or Canaanite tales. There are more differences than similarities between the texts. The opening chapters of Genesis stand unique."

Calvin was wrong about the Sabbath

"John Calvin believed the Sabbath was a type of spiritual rest, which was fulfilled in Christ. On the one hand, Calvin said that the sanctification of one day in seven is no longer binding. On the other hand, he maintained that the command to worship God privately and also publicly remains. In a sermon on Deuteronomy 5:12-14, Calvin preached that we are called to worship continually, “but because of our weaknesses, or rather, because of our laziness, it is necessary that one day be appointed.” He continued: “We are to dedicate the day entirely to him.”" ReformedResource

Calvin was wrong about the Sabbath---God is very clear about it--
Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
Exodus 20:8-10

"God’s action is a pattern to man because He blessed and sanctified the seventh day. In Genesis 2:3 “resting” is a distinct action from “blessing” and “sanctifying.” If He had merely rested, His action would have had no relation to our daily life, in that it may have been a one time action. However, He blessed and sanctified it as well. John Owen argued that God blessed the seventh day by sanctifying it. The day had good added unto it in that God sanctified it to His own glory. “Sanctify” has the sense of setting something apart and dedicating it to God. God set the day apart from the other six days so that it might be dedicated to Him in a particular way. Since God is perfectly holy (or sanctified), this sanctification must relate to man and his activities on it. All of creation was to give glory to God at all times of every day. However, God sanctified the seventh day particularly for man, who was to dress the garden the other six days, and dedicate the seventh day exclusively to the worship of God." ReformedResource

Roman Crucifixion

"In the March/April 2013 issue of Biblical Archaeology Review, ...looking at some of the earliest archaeological evidence of crucifixion and imagery roughly contemporary with Jesus’ crucifixion.

Puteoli Graffito

The two graffiti were both discovered in Italy—one, the so called Alexamenos graffito, on the Palatine Hill in Rome and the other in Puteoli during an excavation. Both show a crucified figure on a cross and date to sometime between the late first and mid-third centuries A.D. Likewise, a striking red gemstone bears a crucified figure surrounded by a magical inscription.
All three of these ancient crucifixion images shed light on the reality of Roman crucifixion in practice and share a few features in common:

The crosses are in the shape of a capital tau, or Greek letter T;

the Puteoli graffito and the gemstone seem to depict figures who have been whipped or flayed;

all three figures appear to be nude, perhaps explaining why at least two of them are shown from behind;

and in each case, the feet seem to be apart and possibly nailed separately (unlike the overlapping feet of Jesus in popular portrayals).

Assuming that Roman crucifixion methods were similar throughout the empire, these crucifixion images give us a more authentic depiction of how Jesus’ crucifixion was carried out." BAR

And he bearing his cross went forth into a place called the place of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha: Where they crucified him, and two other with him, on either side one, and Jesus in the midst.

IN the NEWS - Argentina & Gay Marriage

Now to see the news and yet another gay marriage story--this time in Argentina:

"BUENOS AIRES, Argentina - Argentina legalized same-sex marriage Thursday, becoming the first country in Latin America to declare that gays and lesbians have all the legal rights, responsibilities and protections that marriage brings to heterosexual couples.
After a marathon debate in Argentina's senate, 33 lawmakers voted in favor, 27 against and 3 abstained in a vote that ended after 4 a.m.
Same-sex civil unions have been legalized in Uruguay and some states in Mexico and Brazil. Colombia's Constitutional Court granted same-sex couples inheritance rights and allowed them to add their partners to health insurance plans. Mexico City went further, legalizing gay marriage and launching tourism campaigns to encourage foreigners to come and wed.
Argentina now becomes the first country in Latin America to legalize same-sex marriage nationwide, granting gays and lesbians all the same rights and responsibilities that heterosexuals have. These include many more rights than civil unions, including adopting children and inheriting wealth." DailyNews

Evening & Morning of the 2300 days (years)

And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days;
then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.
Daniel 8:14

"The Hebrew words translated “days” in Daniel 8:14 are ‛ereb and bôqer. The word ‛ereb means “dusk” and is often translated “night, even, evening, evening tide and days.” The second word, bôqer, means “dawn, break of day, morning” and is often translated, “morning, marrow, early and day.” So generally the words ‛ereb and bôqer mean evening and morning. This is awfully similar to what we find in Genesis 1. Take a look:
And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening (‛ereb) and the morning (bôqer) were the first day. Genesis 1:5Notice that the combination of the evening and morning, or the ‛ereb and the bôqer, make up the “yom” which is the Hebrew word translated as “day." ADL

And of course, in Bible prophecy a day =a year. Some try and deny that the 2300 "days" are "days" & that the 2300 "days" are therefore not years--which clearly the 2300 "days" are "days" and prophetically = years.

Dionysius also demanded that the Bishop of Alexandria explain his position on the Logos-and the Bishop of Alexandria submitted and did so to the Bishop of Rome.

Creation Moment 3/29/2013 - Gold Formation & Time

"How long does it take to form veins of gold in the rock? (a) millions of years; (b) less than a second.
If you guessed (b), you overestimated. It might just be a few tenths of a second. So reported Richard A. Lovett in Nature News about a new study in Nature Geoscience on the relationship between heat, pressure, precipitation, and earthquakes.

Scientists have long known that veins of gold are formed by mineral deposition from hot fluids flowing through cracks deep in Earth’s crust. But a study published today in Nature Geoscience has found that the process can occur almost instantaneously — possibly within a few tenths of a second.

The process takes place along ‘fault jogs’ — sideways zigzag cracks that connect the main fault lines in rock, says first author Dion Weatherley, a seismologist at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia.
The idea is that hot fluid flashes into vapor in the fault jogs during earthquakes, causing nearly instant precipitation of the fluids within them under rapid depressurization. This is called “flash vaporization.” Small earthquakes appear to be more efficient at gold vein formation than large ones. A slip of merely 130 micrometers in a 90-centimeter fault zone can result in a 50% pressure drop, allowing the rapid precipitation of gold and quartz.

Nevertheless, it’s still a “flash in the pan” to use Lovett’s clever double metaphor. Given that so many small earthquakes can occur in a few years, it would seem hundreds of thousands of years are not necessary to find gold in them thar hills. The authors of the original paper said, “Multiple earthquakes progressively build economic-grade gold deposits.

It takes a lot of findings like this to overcome the programming many students receive in school that everything on earth takes millions of years. Darwin was enamored with the idea of slow and gradual processes accumulating large changes over time. That, however, is a worldview preference, not a fact of nature." CEH

Isaac Newton: Daniel & Revelation

Contributions to the study of Daniel & Revelation by Sir Isaac Newton

  • The five visions of Daniel and the Book of Revelation are to be read as one coherent set using the same imagery.

    • Each vision adds more details to the earlier, so that the final picture can be pieced together like a jigsaw puzzle.
    • Each horn is an entire kingdom,
    • Each of the four beasts represents non-overlapping countries which endure until the Ancient of Days comes in judgment.
    • ***He derived the laws of physics believing God follows set laws, and he assumes the revelations from God also follow set laws.***
    • Some of the revelations may find a dual fulfillment in both the first and second coming of Jesus Christ.
    • The three and a half times of the little horn of the fourth beast are to be reckoned as 1,260 years, rather than three and a half years (1,260 days), the more common modern interpretation.

IN the NEWS - Burundi violence of Catholic sect of apparition of Mary followers

Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place:
for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.
    Matthew 26:52

"At least six people have been killed and 35 wounded in clashes in northern Burundi between police and a Catholic sect, an official has said.

The violence broke out after police tried to block followers of 30-year-old Zebiya Ngendakumana from praying in Kayanza region, the official added.

Ms Ngendakumana says she sees visions of the Virgin Mary on the 12th day of each month.

The authorities are worried her sect could threaten public order.

The sect, formed more than a year ago, has developed a following across the country and in neighbouring Democratic Republic of Congo.

Kayanza Governor Athanase Mbonabuca said hundreds of sect members, some "armed with clubs and stones", resisted police attempts to prevent them from meeting on a hilltop on Tuesday, the day Zebiya Ngendakumana said she would see her visions, AFP news agency reports.
    'Sanctuary destroyed'
"There were violent clashes. At least six people are dead and 35 wounded," he is quoted as saying.

All the dead are believed to be followers of Ms Ngendakumana, with four policemen seriously wounded, AFP reports.

    Ngendakumana
The sect has had a tense relationship with Burundi's government since its formation, says Florentine Kwizera of the BBC's Great Lakes Service.

Last year, police destroyed a sanctuary of the sect in Kayanza - its stronghold - and its followers retaliated by breaking up a Sunday service at a local Catholic church, she says.

Most Burundians are Catholic and the official church has distanced itself from the sect." BBC

"On her part, Ngendakumana says she began seeing apparitions of the Virgin Mary 20 years ago.
"It was before I turned 10. I went outdoors during the night and saw a light that was almost blinding. I then saw a white lady, a crown on her head. She was above the terrestrial globe," she said in a recent interview with Iwacu, a local paper.
She says she continued seeing the apparition from then, but it was not until 1996 that she "saw Jesus" as well.

    Apparition of Mary in Burundi?

Well since Mary is dead & buried, awaiting the resurrection, it would be a little hard, don't you think, for HER to actually do the following in Burundi?  "Worship has been banned on a small rural hill in Burundi, where a woman claims to see the Virgin Mary on the same day of every month. The 23-year-old's claims of an apparition have become so widely known that thousands of people gather on the hill at the same time to pray. But the governor of the northern province says the worshippers are troublemakers and they should stop. The Catholic church in the area is also investigating the claims of a "vision".The woman in question is called Euzebie and comes from a rural village known as Masinde, in the province of Kayanza.
She claims to see the Virgin Mary on the 11th day of each month.Provincial governor Edouard Nduwimana says people come from all over the country, as well as nearby Rwanda and Uganda, to join Euzebie on the hill.
He says they stay for three nights each month, from the 11th to the 13th, during which time they pray, bang drums, sing and cry."Among the growing controversy surrounding the Euzebie saga, the archibishop of the northern diocese has formally advised worshippers to stop going to see Euzebie while the church investigates to confirm whether or not she has been seeing the Virgin Mary," said Mr Nduwimana, who also comes from Masinde village. Police are to start patrolling the hill in case the request is not met.According to followers of Euzebie, she began to see and talk to the Virgin Mary when she was four years old.Regina Pacis regularly travels for about an hour from another province in the north to see Euzebie. She claims she hears the voice of the Virgin Mary when she talks to Euzebie. But she says only a few people, with what she calls "a special gift", can also see her. Mubiligi is a senior magistrate in the capital Bujumbura. He started to worship with Euzebie last May.He claims he once saw a "miracle" when communal bread fell from the sky into the hand of Euzebie. Both say the message from the Virgin Mary focuses on repenting sins and loving one another." First they assaulted freedom of religion with "obamacare"-forcing the Catholic Church to fund birth control that it doesn't believe in--as well as many Christians to fund abortion.
Second, they have come after peoples 2nd amendment rights on guns.
And now, will an assault on freedom of speech be next under a guise of "anti-bullying" laws?
We are getting one BIG intrusive government--so as the government of the U.S. expands its power, and tramples on constitutional rights as if they simply don't exist---will the 3rd angels message be fullfilled by this ever growing-in-power entity? Just asking.......

"(CNSNews.com) – America’s free-speech model is in desperate need of an update, says an American-Muslim human rights activist who recently spoke at an event linked to an Obama administration appointee.
Dr. Qasim Rashid argued that cyber-bullying laws could be used to limit freedom of expression – Rashid began his remarks by personally thanking Dr. Azizah al-Hibri, appointed by President Barack Obama to the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) in June 2011.
“Our understanding of free speech today is not some long-held 227- or 235-year understanding,” said Rashid, a member of the Muslim Writers Guild of America, who presented a paper titled “In Harm’s Way: The Desperate Need to Update America’s Current Free Speech Model.”
Advances in technology that allow videos and messages to cross the world in an instant require a “revised speech model,” Rashid said.
“My argument is that we already have legislation, right?” he said. “I mean, we already have a cyber-bullying policy in all 50 states that even without the threat of violence – even without violence occurring, we're already holding individuals responsible for this intentional infliction of harm on others.”
“So I think that legislation's already there,” Rashid said. “It's just more a question of how is it going to be applied.”

    Creation Moment 3/28/2013 - Alone

"Poor quality relationships, which make you feel lonely, are definitively linked to a number of health problems. More specifically, research links loneliness to a number of dysfunctional immune responses and increased blood pressure. Researchers saw that people who were lonelier produced more inflammation-related proteins in response to stress than did people that were more socially connected. This means they reacted more strongly to stressful situations than those people that did not consider themselves to be lonely. Chronic inflammation is linked to numerous conditions including coronary heart disease, Type 2 diabetes, arthritis and Alzheimer’s disease as well as the frailty and decline that can come with aging.
Feeling lonely, as distinct from being alone, not only affects our health, but also affects sleep, with more disruptions in the night. It affects the brain – fmri scans show a difference in people’s brains who feel lonely and isolated to those who don’t feel alone. Behavior is different as well. Loneliness has even been shown to spread like a virus amongst people!" Dr. Leaf

Gratian & Rise of the Little Horn

In May-June of 382 A.D. Damasus, Bishop of Rome (Pope) held a council and made a request of Emperor Gratian. As a result Gratian issued a decree granting two things for the Bishop of Rome:
    1) Made the "Pope" the master for trying all bishops in the west.
    2) Made the "Pope" the one to appeal to for bishops tried by local synods.
Another step in the slow rise of the Little Horn entity.......

And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land. And it waxed great, even to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and of the stars to the ground, and stamped upon them.
    Daniel 8:9,10

    Indigenous People’s Movement

"A growing trend in the evangelical church is what is referred to as “redeeming the cultures” or “Cultural Identification.” Essentially, it is the idea that God created cultures and has no desire for anyone to leave their cultural practices but can incorporate their belief in Jesus into their already existing culture.
The words culture or society cannot be found in the Bible, but rather it talks about “nations” and how these nations worshiped false gods as opposed to the “one true God”5 (read Romans 1).
What does the Bible have to say about the different nations (cultures)? In Deuteronomy, we are cautioned to:

Take heed to yourself that you are not ensnared to follow them . . . that you do not inquire after their gods, saying, ‘How did these nations serve their gods? I also will do likewise.’ You shall not worship the LORD your God in that way; for every abomination to the LORD which He hates they have done to their gods. Deuteronomy 12:30-32

But Scripture tells us that the Gospel Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:  Colossians 1:26. This is why Jesus gave that command to the disciples to go to all the nations sharing the truth of God’s Word.

The following comparison chart shows the differences between man’s view and God’s view of cultures:

Man’s View: All cultures are equal in their worth.
God’s View: All cultures are not equal.

Man’s View: God loves all cultures and nations as they are.
God’s View: God does love all people but not their cultures. He does not accept their various ways to worship but has given man the correct manner in which to worship.

Man’s View: All religious practices and rituals are acceptable ways to approach God.
God’s View: Only one way is given by God that is acceptable, through Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son.

Man’s View: We are all united as one humanity and should accept everyone as they are.
God’s View: Our humanity is united in sin (in Adam), resulting in our separation from God, and we need to be united in Christ. Christ, and Christ alone, then becomes our common denominator.

Man’s View: All the gods of the nations are the same or have insignificant differences.
God’s View: The gods of the nations are false; YHWH alone is God, and there is no other according to His own Word.

Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh . . . That at that time ye were without Christ, being . . . strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world. Ephesians 2:11-12"  FLT

Creation Moment 3/27/2013 - Utter Nonsense

    Utter evolutionary NONSENSE

    And I suppose this led
to the "evolution" of the car
"Baby apes’ arm waving hints at origins of language: New Scientist had no problem with the suggestion that arm waving by chimpanzees led to the Sermon on the Mount and every other great work of moral or conceptual communication. “Actions speak louder than words,” wrote Nora Schultz cheerfully, as if that justifies scientifically what she is about to say. “Baby chimps, bonobos, gorillas and orang-utans – our four closest living relatives – quickly learn to use visual gestures to get their message across, providing the latest evidence that hand waving may have been a vital first step in the development of human language.” Then why did apes get stuck at such a simplistic vocabulary?" And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech. Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.

IN the NEWS -Gay Marriage is from God?

"Just days after word broke that Rob Bell, author of the best-selling and controversial book Love Wins, -- came out in support of the homosexual lifestyle, Bell has reiterated his beliefs to the media.
This week, Odyssey Networks posted a video interview with Bell, during which he further outlined his stance, stating that he believes that the push for homosexual “marriage” is actually a move of God." ChristianNewsNetwork

How can "pastors" be this spiritually blind like Rob Bell?

For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
    Romans 1:26,27

So, Mr. Bell, it was evil then but now God changed His mind?

    Heretics... what to do?

" Many a star that we have admired for its brilliancy will then go out in darkness. Chaff like a cloud will be borne away on the wind, even from places where we see only floors of rich wheat. All who assume the ornaments of the sanctuary, but are not clothed with Christ’s righteousness, will appear in the shame of their own nakedness." Testimonies for the Church vol.5 p.81 E.G.W.

    Watered Down Paganistic Reincarnation

When you think about the FALSE DOCTRINE of the Immortality of the Soul---what is it really? Watered Down Paganistic Reincarnation

The Bible is very clear on the State-of-the-Dead
The soul that sinneth, it shall die.
    Ezekiel 18:20

    Sleeping Church

And he cometh, and findeth them sleeping, and saith unto Peter, Simon, sleepest thou? couldest not thou watch one hour?
Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation.
The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.
And again he went away, and prayed,
    and spake the same words.
    And when he returned,
    he found them asleep again,
    (for their eyes were heavy,)
neither wist they what to answer him.
And he cometh the third time,
    and saith unto them,
Sleep on now, and take your rest:
    it is enough, the hour is come;
behold, the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.
    Mark 14:37-41
"Picture a Sleeping Church, In this fearful hour of trial Christ’s human nature longed even for the sympathy of His disciples. A second time He rose from the earth and went to them and found them sleeping. This was not a deep sleep. They were in a drowse. They had a limited sense of their Lord’s suffering and anguish. In tenderness Jesus stood for a moment bending over them, and regarding them with mingled feelings of love and pity. In these sleeping disciples He sees a representation of a sleeping church. When they should be watching, they are asleep."
The Signs of the Times, 8/14/1879 E.G.W.

And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
    Revelation 3:14-16

    Ark Lesson

    Noah built the ark.
And then God did for man that which he could not do for himself-preserve the ark during the storm.

Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark,
and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch.
    Genesis 6:14

    Creation Moment 3/26/2013 - Ganymede

"The largest moon in the solar system is Ganymede, at Jupiter. Many structures have been found on its surface that are still a mystery. During the Galileo mission to Jupiter it was discovered that Ganymede possessed a weak magnetic field. This was very surprising to planetary scientists because in small objects like moons, it is generally thought that any intrinsic field should have long since ceased to exist. Planetary scientists rely on dynamo theory to explain how planetary magnetic fields are maintained for billions of years. But magnetic dynamo theory has technical problems and especially so with a moon like Ganymede. The question of how Ganymede could still possess a magnetic field -- A dynamo requires that there be a liquid core of a conducting material such as iron and the core must support convection currents. If there is an electric current in a core consisting of a moving conducting liquid, this may generate a magnetic field. The chief problem in a small body such as Ganymede is the small core. A small sphere cools faster than a large sphere, thus a moon tends to cool rapidly over time. The heat flux out of Ganymede’s core should not be enough to keep convection operating in the core for over four billion years.
In compositional convection, iron and possibly other metals would cool and condense to solid form at the top of the core and then sink to the center. In this process lighter materials such as sulfur would be driven out of the core. Thus a division of materials takes place, and when the metals condense, latent heat is released that is thought by some to be able to drive convection. This idea suffers from a significant problem that it happens at the bottom of the mantle, which is much cooler than the core. This means the heat generated by the process would be absorbed by the mantle and so it is doubtful that this process could drive a dynamo for billions of years.
There is another interesting possible structure in Ganymede that could affect its magnetic field. Planetary scientists suspect that Ganymede has a layer of liquid salt water some distance below the crust.  This has been proposed to explain some of the interesting surface formations on Ganymede. However, a salt water layer is potentially an electrical conductor. So, scientists have considered whether the water layer could contribute to Ganymede’s magnetic field. A water solution, if there were an electrical current in it, would not likely produce a dynamo because very rapid fluid motion would be required. A water convection dynamo would probably not be stable, if it were even possible. However, it is possible that a water layer could cause some minor variations in Ganymede’s magnetic field. In a young age approach such as that from Russ Humphreys, the difficulties of dynamo theory are avoided and Ganymede fits into a biblical view of history." CMI
