Someone actually nailed the truth over the CT school shooting on Twitter. It is about the soul. (This particular case, a soul possibly impacted by mental health issues too though). But it is the soul in one that desires these EVIL acts (whether school shootings, Hilter, Pol Pot, etc).
The soul is basically your conscious (your thoughts, likes, dislikes, memories, personality & character-it is what you are on the inside).
The soul of the wicked desireth evil:
