Lot's Daughters & Bible critics

They shouted to Lot, "Where are the men who came to spend the night with you? Bring them out to us so we can have sex with them!"
And Lot went out at the door unto them, and shut the door after him, And said, I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly.
Behold now, I have two daughters which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do ye to them as is good in your eyes: only unto these men do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof.
"Stand back!" they shouted. "This fellow came to town as an outsider, and now he's acting like our judge! We'll treat you far worse than those other men!" And they lunged toward Lot to break down the door.
But the men put forth their hand, and pulled Lot into the house to them, and shut to the door.
And they smote the men that were at the door of the house with blindness, both small and great: so that they wearied themselves to find the door.
Genesis 19:5-11 NLT/NIV & KJV
Some Bible critics (surface readers) say that when Lot offered up his daughters in place of the male visitors to the outside crowd....that 'what kind of God would allow that?'

This is because they make the mistake of confusing DESCRIBING  & PRESCRIBING to an event. In other words they mistake the Bible DESCIBING an event that it is also PRESCRIBING to it, as if it is condoning it. The Bible doesn't say that God apporved of Lot's offer to the gentlemen outside....  If an action is described-it does NOT mean it is condoned... Some people need to use their heads...
