2 Corinthians 4 - SPIRIT of FAITH

verse 1-NIV

Therefore,

since through God's mercy we have this ministry,

we do not lose heart.



 verse 2 - NLT

We reject all shameful and underhanded methods.

We do not try to trick anyone,

and we do not distort the word of God.

We tell the truth before God, and all who are honest know that.  

verse 3 - NRS

And even if our gospel is veiled,

it is veiled to those who are perishing,  

verse 4 - LEB

among whom the god of this age has blinded the minds of the unbelievers,

so that they would not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ,

who is the image of God.

verse 5 - NKJV

For we do not preach ourselves,

but Christ Jesus the Lord,

and ourselves your bondservants for Jesus' sake.

verse 6 - GWT

We are his servants because the same God

who said that light should shine out of darkness has given us light.

For that reason we bring to light the knowledge about God's glory

which shines from Christ's face.

verse 7 - ASV

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels,

that the exceeding greatness of the power may be of God,

and not from ourselves;

verse 8 - NLT

We are pressed on every side by troubles,

but we are not crushed and broken.

We are perplexed,

but we don't give up and quit,

verse 9 - TNIV

persecuted, but not abandoned;

struck down, but not destroyed.

verse 10 - NIRV

We always carry around the death of Jesus in our bodies.

In that way, the life of Jesus can be shown in our bodies.

verse 11 - TM

Our lives are at constant risk for Jesus' sake,

which makes Jesus' life all the more evident in us.  

verse 12 - HCS

So death works in us,

but life in you.  

verse 13 - KJV

We having the same spirit of faith,

according as it is written , I believed , and therefore have I spoken ;

we also believe , and therefore speak ;  

verse 14 - TMB

 knowing that He who raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise us up also by Jesus,

and shall present us with you.  

verse 15 - HCS

For all this is because of you, so that grace,

extended through more and more people,

may cause thanksgiving to overflow to God's glory.

verse 16 - WEB

Therefore we don't faint,

but though our outward man is decaying,

yet our inward man is renewed day by day.

verse 17 - HNV

For our light affliction,

which is for the moment,

works for us more and more exceedingly an eternal weight of glory;

verse 18 - KJV

While we look not at the things which are seen,

but at the things which are not seen:

for the things which are seen are temporal;

but the things which are not seen are eternal.
