And there was given me a reed like unto a rod:

and measure the temple of God,
and the altar,
and them that worship
therein.
But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it
is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty
and two months.
Revelation 11:1,2
1) The Temple must be the Temple in Heaven
2) The worshipers would be the true church on earth
3) They are to be measured, character is measured by some form of right. That unit of measurement would be the LAW of GOD-His commandments
4) The measuring of the Temple is for the church to give attention to the Sanctuary-study it, learn it
5) The court left out is where the victims were slain, where the blood was taken into the Sanctuary. The Lamb had been slain in Judah, here on earth. So here on earth, they tread it down for the 42 months or 1260 days/years in other words
