Bible opposed to Platonic thinking

This notion of a sharp divide between "body" & "soul" entered western thought through Platonic thinking. But it is at odds with Scripture. God's Word does NOT teach that we are to consider ourselves immortal, rather we are to long for the resurrection.

The lie of Plato is the lie of the serpent:
And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
Genesis 3:4

The promise of Christ is:
But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead,... Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.
Luke 20:35,36

What did Christ say to the Sadducees when they (influenced by Greek/Platonic thought) questioned the idea of a resurrection?
...........ye therefore do greatly err. Mark 12:27
