Prophetesses of Acts

........ and we entered into the house of Philip the evangelist,..........And the same man had four daughters, virgins, which did prophesy. Acts 21:8,9

A prophet or prophetess did not necessarily give future predictions as we think of the word prophecy today. They many times were given messages to keep the Church on the straight and narrow as it relates to doctrine.
