Beware the HERESY of the Word of Faith Movement (Name It & Claim It)

TBN (Trinity Broadcasting network) a major proponent of the WF
The Word of Faith Movement (WF for short) is a movement that uses repitition of Bible verses as a way to claim the promises of scripture. But you can mumble these verses all you want-that doesn't mean you will recieve. Recieving from God isn't based on repition of words. This movement is an offshoot of the charismatic/pentecostal movement. It mixes with the "prosperity gospel" movement.
When it comes to asking God for things- And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth. Luke 11:2

Some teach that Christ & the disciples were wealthy, such as Creflo Dollar teaches, http://www.ajc.com/living/content/living/faithandvalues/stories/2006/10/18/1022SLJESUS.html .
But what does God's Word actually say-
And Jesus said unto him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head. Luke 9:58

Some trace the movement back to Phineas Quimby and his new thought movement of the 19th century. That was based on mesmerism and the thought the divine dwells in each of us, even if that spirit is just an infinite intelligence we call "God".

This Word of Faith HERESY also claims that we are "Little gods".  For example, Creflo Dollar teaches:
Dollar: "If dogs get together, they produce what?"
Congregation: "Dogs!"
Dollar: "If cats get together, they produce what?"
Congregation: "Cats!"
Dollar: "So if the Godhead says 'Let us make man in our image', and everything produces after its own kind, then they produce what?"
Congregation: "Gods!"
Dollar: "Gods. Little "g" gods. You're not human. Only human part of you is this flesh you're wearing."

The big boy of the Word of Faith Movement is of course, the one & only Benny Hinn, who mixes Word of Faith, pentecostalism & the prosperity gospel better than any other charlatan out there these days. Hinn says "God came from heaven, became a man, made man into little gods, went back to heaven as a man".

Some who espouse the views of the Word of Faith Movement go further in HERESY claiming that Christ went to hell when He died (although "hell" doesn't exist yet-hell is the Lake of Fire in the end-once again-see how one false doctrine leads to others) and that He was "born again" while in hell. Even Kenneth Copeland teaches this.

Here is the basic 4-Step program for the HERESY of Word of Faith-"Say it, Do it, Receive it, and Tell it."

1. Step number one is "Say it." "Positive or negative, it is up to the individual. According to what the individual says, that shall he receive."
2. Step number two is "Do it." "Your action defeats you or puts you over. According to your action, you receive or you are kept from receiving."

3. Step number three is "Receive it." We are to plug into the "powerhouse of heaven." "Faith is the plug, praise God! Just plug in."

4. Step number four is "Tell it so others may believe." This final step might be considered the Faith movement's outreach program.

Then there is David Yonggi Cho, pastor in South Korea of a 700,000 member Full Gospel Yoido Church. He is a proponent of Word of Faith & mixes openly with the occult. He claims you can recieve anything by calling into this mystic 4th dimension.

So the BIG 3 ERRORS are:
#1: God is Obligated to Obey People's Words
#2: God's Favor Results in Riches
#3: Humans are Little Gods
