Jehovah Witnesses & the Last Generation of 1914

Jehovah Witnesses believe that God will execute His judgement on this world before the generation of "1914" all pass away. This is because they believe that in 1914 was the begining of the last days and the following World War which erupted in 1914 was the first of 3 phases of "armageddon".
At first a generation was defined as 20-30 years. So during World War 2 in 1939 they thought this was it. When it wasn't, they defined as a lifetime and said that those who were at least 10 years of age that year qualified as part of the Last Generation.

So as we get closer to the last person born in 1904 one day passing away within the next few years, the end by the Jehovah's Witnesses definition is getting close. --BUT-- what does GOD say about waiting for the 1914 generation passing away? He says NOTHING.....The founder of the denomination, Charles Taze Russll, based some of these ideas on the belief at the time that the pyramids of Giza contained measurements of prophecy. He had a model of the pyramid of Giza placed near his grave.

Then the LORD said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart. Jeremiah 14:14
