Another Book NOT to waste time reading-By the presiding head of the Episcopal Church-Katherine Jefferts Schori

Katherine Jefferts Schori is the head of the Episcoplian Church in America. In her recent book The Heartbeat of God she focuses heavily on politics, nearly all on the far left of the political spectrum One could get the impression that the mission of the Episcopal Church is to convert all into political liberals rather than saving souls for the Kingdom.
She tells her view of what she thinks of evangelizing-she doesn't like it. She says of a man who came to her about it - "He said he finally learned that his job wasn't to get somebody to say a verbal formula about accepting Jesus as personal Lord and savior, but to make a space that was safe enough for others to say what they really think and feel." She agreed with that assesment.
This post was not to demean the Episcopal Church. I'm sure there are many faithful Episcopalians who would agree with the Word of God when it says in Matthew 28 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: And I'm sure there are many faithful Episcopalians who disagree with their Church being so closely associated with either side of the worldly political spectrums rather than the Gospel.
