Of the Word-Go for the Meat-Not the Fluff

The Shepherds of the flock (ministers) should focus on the meat of the word rather than teaching the people fluff and leaving them in spiritual darkness. Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk,... For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little: Isaiah 28:9,10
They should help the flock grow up spiritually. For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. Hebrews 5:12-14
We need to get back to the "meat" of the word so as not to ...and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken. Isaiah 28:13

Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers. Titus 1:9
