and lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation. (Redeemer)
They provoked him to jealousy with strange gods, (What "gods" of this world do you worship? Money, music, sports, movies, fashion, TV?)
with abominations provoked they him to anger. (What "abominations" do you commit?)
They sacrificed unto devils, not to God; to gods whom they knew not, to new gods that came newly up, whom your fathers feared not. (What do you sacrifice your time & resources to?)
Of the Rock that begat thee thou art unmindful, (He is the ROCK that renews you)
and hast forgotten God that formed thee. (He is the God that made you)
