Can the dead speak to us?

What did God tell the ancient Hebrews? For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else. Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee. Deuteronomy 18:10-12 Regard not them that have familiar spirits,... Leviticus 19:31 And the soul that turneth after such as have familiar spirits,....to go a whoring after them, I will even set my face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people. Leviticus 20:6
How serious did God take this subject? A man also or woman that hath a familiar spirit, or that is a wizard, shall surely be put to death: they shall stone them with stones: their blood shall be upon them. Leviticus 20:27

The DEAD ARE DEAD- As the cloud is consumed and vanisheth away: so he that goeth down to the grave shall come up no more. Job 7:9 Even good king David isn't in Heaven -Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day. For David is not ascended into the heavens: Acts 2:29,34

So when people "Talk to the dead"--- its not the dead they are talking too. Its "familiar spirits" as the Bible calls them. Or demons in other words. Thats why God was so strict with Israel on the subject, to protect them from being decieved. And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead? Isaiah 8:19
