In the first story in scripture, God leans over and touches mankind.
And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. Genesis 2:7
In the closing of the canon of Scripture, God once again leans over and touches mankind.
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; Revelation 21:4
