Meditation Upon the PSALMS Series: Psalm 85

"Psalm 85:
The writer began by thanking God for delivering His people. The
reference to restoration from captivity (
Psalms 85:1) suggests that this psalm may date to the return from Babylonian exile. However, the psalmist may have been referring to a more modest captivity, perhaps at the hand of a neighbor nation. In any case, he viewed Israel’s former enslavement to be the result of her sin and thanked God for pardoning that.

1. Thanksgiving and petition (85:1-7)
2. Trust and confidence (85:8-13)

Psalm 85:2 You forgave the iniquity of your people;
   You covered all their sin.
Psalm 85:4 Restore us again, O God of our salvation,
and put away your indignation toward us!
Psalm 85:11 Faithfulness springs up from the ground,
and righteousness looks down from the sky."
Psalm 85:12  Yes, the LORD will give what is good, and our land will yield its increase.

IN the NEWS - ALDI’s & Sunday Sacredness

SUNDAY SACREDNESS = Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;1 Timothy 4:1

"The Brussels Times, a leading Belgian news outlet, published a report detailing how the ALDI supermarket chain proposed expanding Sunday store openings, requiring employees to work on that day.
ALDI’s proposed Sunday expansion has sparked nationwide labor strikes across 60 stores, leading to widespread shutdowns as workers strongly resisted efforts to make Sunday a regular workday.

The Brussels Times reported the following:
At least 60 Aldi supermarkets have shut their doors on Friday due to spontaneous staff protests against the management’s plan to open
stores on Sundays, according to the Christian trade union CNE.

“Union officials are supporting the protest and assisting staff. ‘We stand by the workers,’ said Évelyne Zabus, permanent secretary of the CNE.”
The union has expressed disappointment with management’s approach, claiming the Sunday opening plan was introduced during discussions intended to focus on employee demands, such as salary improvements.

Employees opposed the move to open stores on Sundays and responded with strikes, effectively shutting down numerous locations as workers walked off the job. They view Sunday openings as a serious challenge to long-standing tradition that regards Sunday as a protected day of rest.

Labor unions are also a powerful force in resisting efforts to relax Sunday labor restrictions, arguing that Sunday is a unique day worthy of legal protection as a designated day for workers. In Belgium, unions are at the forefront of opposing expanded Sunday openings, fighting to keep it from being just another commercial workday."

Creation Moment 5/3/2026 - Can't Really Change the Creator's DESIGN

So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Genesis 1:27
"According to our culture today, a man can be a woman, and a woman a man, as long as that’s how the person identifies. But self-identification (confusion) really doesn’t change biology. One can’t change their genetics.

A man is still a man
and a woman a woman."

Meditation Upon the PSALMS Series: Psalm 84

"Psalm 84:
Baca” (verse 6), appears to refer to a shrub that grows in arid places and thus points to the hardships endured by the pilgrim on his way to the Holy city.
The pilgrim focuses his attention especially on the thought of being in the very presence of the LORD God.

I. The Expectation of Worshiping God (84:1-4).
II. The Expedition to Worship God (84:5-7).
III. The Elation at Worshiping God (84:8-12).

Psalm 84:1 How amiable [are] Thy tabernacles, O LORD of hosts!
Amiable, in the verse above, means loved or well-beloved.
When the people could go to the tabernacle, it was a point of contact with Almighty God.

Hebrews 8:5 Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith He, [that] thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.
Revelation 21:3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God [is] with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall be with them, [and be] their God.
2 Corinthians 5:1 For we know that if our earthly house of [this] tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

Psalm 84:6 [Who] passing through the valley of Baca make it a well; the rain also filleth the pools.
Psalm 84:10 For a day in Thy courts [is] better than a thousand.
I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God,
than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.

Creation Moment 5/2/2026 - Brain Complexity and Music

Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex!
Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it.
Psalm 139:14 NLT

"Studies show that our brains release dopamine while listening to music. This dopamine rush is the strongest when a song reaches its emotional climax and the listener feels the “chills” — the spine-tingling, hair-raising sensation of awe.

The really interesting bit is the third set of neurons: these neurons only light up when we’re listening to music (and not speech) and try to predict what notes will come next, based on what notes you heard before.

We found acoustic information, like pitch or the changes between pitches in a melody. But we also found information that was encoded that reflects the listener’s prior experience with music. This is learned information.
It’s not bottom-up, it requires some internal model. Specifically, we found that listeners could predict the next note given the prior notes in the melody, and that information was encoded in a in a population of neurons in this auditory region,” Narayan Sankaran, a postdoc in the Chang Lab at UCSF and lead author of the study, told ZME Science."

Meditation Upon the PSALMS Series: Psalm 83

"
Psalm 83:
The ominous background of this psalm of national lament lies in the threatening confederacy of almost all of Israel’s hostile neighbors.
The psalmist begs God to rescue Israel from its enemies as He had done so many times in the past.

I. A Plea for Help (83:1).
II. A Protest Against Israel’s Enemies (83:2-8).
III. A Petition for Divine Judgment (83:9-18).

Psalm 83:1 Keep not Thou silence, O God: hold not Thy peace, and be not still, O God.
Psalm 83:6 The tabernacles of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarenes;

Edom … Hagarenes”:
The list of nations represents Israel’s enemies throughout its history.
Edom descended from Esau and lived southeast of Israel.
The Ishmaelites, descendants from Abraham and Hagar, were Bedouin tribes.
The Moabites descended from Lot and were tribal people living east of the Jordan.
The Hagarenes were a nomadic tribe living east of the Jordan.

Psalm 83:8 Assur also is joined with them: they have holpen the children of Lot. Selah.
This dominant nation of the eighth century B.C. took captive the
northern 10 tribes of Israel in 722 B.C.

Assyria used smaller nations, like Moab and Ammon to accomplish its military goals.
Assur was just one more evil group to come against Israel.

Psalm 83:13 O my God, make them like a wheel; as the stubble before the wind."

IN the NEWS - Sodom is Back....Literally?

But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the LORD exceedingly. Genesis 13:13....apparently still are...

"The Israeli government announced on Monday that this June, "the Dead Sea becomes Pride Land, the biggest LGBTQ+ festival ever in the Middle East," adding that "Pride rises at the lowest place on earth."
This celebration of degeneracy and non-straight lifestyle choices — set to take place near what is believed to be the site of Sodom, the city razed by God because of its brazen sexual corruption — will run 24 hours a day from June 1 to June 4.
"This is not just another festival; it's the biggest thing we've done here," Aaron Cohen, the main producer behind "Pride Land," told the Post. "It's an experience that lives 24/7, from quiet visits to nights of Pride, with a living envelope of music and people."
American theologian and pastor Dale Partridge tweeted, "The devil couldn’t have written it better. 'The lowest place on earth' 'The Dead Sea becomes pride land.'"
The U.S. State Department has recommended that Americans reconsider travel to the country due to terrorism and civil unrest and instructed travelers to avoid crowds."

IN the NEWS - Universal HIGH INCOME?

Another Potential Mechanism for----
And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark,
or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
Revelation 13:7

"
Universal HIGH INCOME via checks issued by the Federal government is the best way to deal with unemployment caused by AI," Musk wrote in a post on X, according to Moneywise.
That is not a universal basic income proposal
Musk is describing something more ambitious: a high level of income distributed broadly across society.

This would not be just a floor to cover basic needs, but a meaningful
check that allows people to participate in an economy increasingly run by machines.
AI/robotics
will produce goods and services far in excess of the increase in the money supply, so there will not be inflation, he wrote.

The job losses tied to
AI are already showing up in real data. In 2025, AI was linked to nearly 55,000 job cuts in the United States, according to consulting firm Challenger, Gray, & Christmas. Major companies, including Amazon, Salesforce, and Oracle, cut thousands of roles, citing AI as a contributing factor.
The pace has not slowed. Challenger estimates that roughly 30,000 additional jobs were lost to
AI in just the first months of 2026, Moneywise reported. And those numbers may understate the full picture, since many companies do not publicly attribute layoffs to automation.

Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei offered an even starker warning. He has said that
AI could eliminate up to half of all entry-level white-
collar jobs within five years, potentially pushing U.S. unemployment as high as 20%.
"AI/Robotics will mean everyone can have a penthouse if they want. The output of goods and services will be several orders of magnitude higher than today's economy," he wrote, according to Moneywise. "What is the future you want? Amazing abundance seems the best to me."

That framing is important. Musk is not talking about a safety net. He is talking about a structural redesign of how prosperity is distributed in an economy where human labor becomes less central to production. The premise is that machines generate enough wealth for everyone to share meaningfully in the gains."

Creation Moment 5/1/2026 - Traced back to it's origin

"Darwin and his associates anti-Bible assumptions and motives and thus had their own hidden, strong bias.
The Conflict of the Ages,” traces the anti-God religion of evolutionism past the Darwinian agnostics to ancient Greek philosophers, Hindu mystics, all the way to the garden of Eden and beyond—even back to Satan’s own initial rebellion
And in “The Everlasting Gospel,” shows how worshipping “Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and the springs of water” (Revelation 14:7) is the foundation of the gospel of Christ throughout time and eternity."
